HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Wildes helps Winslow beat Morse

3-pointer, steal key in victory for Black Raiders.

WINSLOW —Connor Wildes hit a big 3-pointer in the fourth quarter and also made a steal late in the game to preserve the win as the Winslow boys basketball team beat Morse 60-58 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Tuesday.

Wildes finished with nine points for Winslow, which improves to 6-2. Trevor Lovely led Winslow with 19 points, while Justin Martin had 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Black Raiders outscored the Shipbuilders (7-2) 25-14 in the third quarter to take the lead.

Casey Watson had 15 points and Ethan Winglass 14 for Morse.

Waterville 69, Mt. View 50: Chris Hale scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Panthers take the KVAC B win in Waterville.

Owen Brown scored a team-high 21 points for Waterville (5-3) and grabbed seven boards. Justin Jabar scored 19 points for the Panthers.

Nathan Wren scored a game-high 31 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Mt. View (4-5).

Lawrence 53, Skowhegan 49: Brad King scored 12 of his game-high 18 points in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs take the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Taylor Slaney scored seven points for Lawrence (5-4).

Isaac Witham led Skowhegan (0-7) with 16 points.

Messalonskee 59, Mt. Ararat 54: Nick Mayo scored 20 points to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Topsham.

Messalonskee (7-2) outscored Mt. Ararat (4-5) 26-16 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

Shyheim Ulrickson scored a game-high 31 points for Mt. Ararat.

Forest Hills 56, Greenville 47, OT: Nathan Jalbert scored all seven of his points in overtime, including five from the foul line as the Tigers beat the Lakers in an East/West Conference game in Jackman.

Matt Turner scored 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter for Forest Hills (8-0). Tanner Daigle added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers.

Matthew DiAngelo had 12 points for Greenville (5-2).

Gardiner 48, Erskine 42: Seth McFarlane scored 18 points to lead the Tigers to the KVAC B win in South China.

Brad Weston scored eight points for Gardiner (4-3). Tyler Bailey led Erskine (0-7) with nine points.

LEWISTON 49, MT. BLUE 37: Carlos Gonzalez scored 15 points as the Blue Devils beat the Cougars in a KVAC A game in Farmington.

Ben Howell added eight points for Lewiston.

Brad Durrell had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Mt. Blue. Cam Abbott and Zack Mittlestadt each had eight points.

Hyde 59, Valley 36: Wilson MacMillan scored 19 points to lead the Phoenix to the Class D win in Bath.

Hyde jumped ahead early and led 18-4 after one quarter. Akim Sanni scored 15 points for Hyde (6-0).

Cody Laweryson led Valley (6-2) with 11 points.

MARANACOOK 71, MCI 68, OT: Taylor Wilbur scored 30 points, including three in overtime, to lead the BLack Bears to the KVAC Clas B win in Readfield.

Mitchell Hallee led MCI with 19 points and tied the game to send it to OT. Cam Brochu added nine points and 12 rebounds for Maranacook (7-2).
