WINSLOW — Winslow scored three unanswered goals on its way to a 3-2 win over Yarmouth in a girls hockey game Wednesday at Sukee Arena.

Ariel Potter scored in the first period to give Yarmouth (5-11-1) a 1-0 lead. Jennifer Poulin and Paige Veilleux scored later in the period to give Winslow (4-10-3) a 2-1 lead. Jordyn Dorval scored in the second period to give the Black Raiders a two-goal lead.

For Winslow, Reagan Cain, Brennah O’Conell and Brittany Whitaker each had an assist. Jessica Cain made 34 saves.

Boys hockey

Hampden 7, Winslow 2: Cooper Antone scored a hat trick and Ryan Richards added a pair of goals to lead the Broncos to the Eastern B victory at Sukee Arena.

Matt Closson had a goal and an assist for Hampden (4-6-0).

Alex Berard and Jacob Cain scored for Winslow (2-11-0).

Andrew Beals and Cam Tibbetts combined to stop 35 shots.

Girls basketball

Forest Hills 55, Valley 36: The Tigers pulled away from the Cavaliers in the first half en route to the East/West Conference win in Jackman.  Keely Taylor led the winners with 20 points while teammate Kori Coro scored 18. Teagan Lawyerson paced Valley (5-10) with 27 points. Forest Hills is 13-2.

Boys basketball

Forest Hills 61, Valley 38: Evan Worster scored 27 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the Tigers to the key East/West Conference win in Jackman.

Forest Hills took control early, and led 21-9 after one quarter. Worster also had six blocks and five steals for Forest Hills (13-2). Derick Ouellette had 15 rebounds for the Tigers, while Bandon Ouellette scored 13 points and had seven steals.

Carrington Miller led Valley (13-3) with 18 points.

Edward Little 58, Erskine 42: Sean Ford had 18 points and Quin Leary had 17 as the Eddies beat the Eagles on Tuesday.

Caleb McGuire had 14 points for Erskine Academy (1-14).

Women’s basketball

UM-Fort Kent 70, UM-Augusta 54: Jenn Copitts scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Bengals to the win in Bangor.  Samantha Carapellucci added 12 points apiece for UMFK (13-9).

Cony graduate Allyssa Marson scored 17 points to lead UMA (6-7, 9-11 Yankee Small College Conference). Mt. Blue graduate Corinne Dingley added 13 points while Arreonte Lee chipped in with 11. Also for UMA, Cony graduate Maegan Cloutier scored seven points and Winslow graduate Haley Madore added six.

Men’s basketball

UM-Fort Kent 90, UMA 68: Yoshives Belizaire scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Bengals past the Moose in Bangor.

Garrett Alley led UMA (8-16, 7-8 Yankee Small College Conference) with 19 points. Lawrence graduates Keith Chesley and Emmitt Faulker scored 14 points and 11 points, respectively. Cony graduate Walker Cooper scored 11 points.

St. Joseph’s 63, UM-Farmington 55:
Matthew Medeiros scored 22 points as the Monks beat the Beavers in Standish.

Steve Simonds added 15 points and Zach Blodgett chipped in 11 for St. Joseph’s (12-7).
Maranacook Community School graduate Ben Johnson had 13 points and 10 rebounds for UMF (15-3). Yusuf Iman added 13 points and Andrew Dickey had 10.
