FAIRFIELD — Nia Irving scored a game-high 31 points to lead the Lawrence girls basketball team to the overtime 57-49 win over Mt. Blue in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game.

Irving added 18 rebounds. Paige Belanger had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Lawrence (12-4), while Dominque Lewis scored 10 points.

Miranda Nicely led Mt. Blue (11-5) with 20 points. Gabby Foy scored 14 points for the Cougars.

Mt. Abram 46, Wiscasset 17: Mikayla Luce scored 16 to lead the Roadrunners to the Mountain Valley Conference win.

Miranda Smith added nine points for Mt. Abram (8-9). Wiscasset is 3-12.

Skowhegan 50, Messalonskee 47: Taylor Johnson scored 15 points to lead Skowhegan to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Taylor Eastler led Messalonskee with 17 points. Skowhegan is 8-8, Messalonskee is 6-10.

Madison 55, Winthrop 27: Bronte Elias scored 14 points and Sam Bruce added 13 to lead the visiting Bulldogs (15-2) to the MVC win.

Winthrop (1-15) was led by Shauna Carlson with a career-high 20 points.

Oak Hill 55, Carrabec 27: Julie Morneault scored 11 points and Hayley Marshall added 10 to lead the Raiders (9-7) to the KVAC B win in Wales.

Carrabec (5-11) was led by Mickayla Willette, Emma Pluntke and Kate Stevens with six points apiece.

Forest Hills 51, Pine Tree 31: Dana McNally led three players in double figures with 15 points as the Tigers rolled in Freeport. Kori Coro scored 13 points and Keely Taylor added 11 to pace Forest Hills (14-2) as well.

Kim Emerson scored 20 points to lead Pine Tree (0-11).

Oxford Hills 60, Erskine 31: Mikayla Morin scored 12 points and Abbie Eastman added 10 to lead the Vikings to the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Tianna Sugars chipped in with 10 points for Oxford Hills (11-5) as well.

Bridget Humphrey paced Erskine (0-16) with 10 points.

Boys basketball

Erskine 54, Oxford Hills 41: Caleb McGuire scored 14 points to help the Eagles take the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Erskine (2-14) gained momentum when Ryan Rodrigue converted a 3-point play, pushing the lead to eight points with two and a half minutes to play. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles made 9 of 14 free throws to seal the win.

Debin Duncan had 11 points for Erskine. Jake Plummer led Oxford Hills  (7-9) with 11 points.

Forest Hills 73, Pine Tree Academy 29: Evan Worster scored a game-high 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers to an East-West win over the Breakers in Freeport.

Matt Turner added 18 points for Forest Hills (14-2), and Ryan Petrin had 12 assists.

Pine Tree Academy (4-9) was led by Zach Wilday with 16 points.

Gould 52, Rangeley 18: Gould outscored the Lakers 20-0 in the second quarter to earn the Class D win.

Zacheria Mohammed led Gould (10-5) with 17 points. Michael Haley scored nine points for Rangeley (2-12).

Wiscasset 62, Mt. Abram 49: Travis Padila scored 15 points to lead the Wolverines to the MVC win.
Dale Peaslee and Johnathan Rines each scored 12 points for Wiscasset (9-6). Cal Dixon led Mt. Abram (7-10) with 18 points.

Messalonskee 63, Skowhegan 53: Nick Mayo scored a game-high 27 points and Jordon Holmes added 10 to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Ryan Erskine chipped in with eight points for Messalonskee (9-7).

Taylor Bacon scored 18 points and Pat Poirier added 11 to lead the Indians (2-14).

Thomas 98, New England College 77: Skowhegan graduate Levi Barnes scored 25 points to lead the Terriers to the North Atlantic Conference win in Henniker, N.H.

Jarrad DeVaughn added 22 points as all five Thomas (9-9, 6-7) starters finished in double figures. Marquis Pollard added 16 points while Stanley Greene Jr. and Eric Westbrooks scored 10 apiece.

NEC (1-18, 1-11) was led by Jonathan Byrnes and Ryan Schmitz with 15 points each.

Williams 64, Colby 61: The Mules gave the ninth-ranked Ephs fits all night, but Williams survived to earn the New England Small College Athletic Conference win in Waterville.

Taylor Epley finished with 19 points and eight rebounds for Williams (19-2, 7-0) while Daniel Wohl added 17 points.

Colby (6-14, 2-5) was led by Patrick Stewart with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three steals. SamWilson added 12 points and Ryan Jann finished with 10.

Colby-Sawyer 69, UMF 62: Mike Dias scored 21 points to lead the Chargers to NAC win in New London, N.H.

Stephen Thorpe added 10 points for Colby-Sawyer (9-10, 9-3).

The Beavers (15-5, 10-3) were led by Maranacook graduate Ben Johnson with 27 points. Andrew Dickey and Nate Carson chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Men’s hockey

Colby 5, Hamilton 1: Five different players scored and Sam Parker stopped 21 shots as Colby avenged an early season loss to Hamilton with the NESCAC win in Waterville.

Robert McCormick, Cory McGrath, Ben Chwick, Ray Zeek and Ben Bartlett all scored for the Mules (4-13-2, 2-10-1 in NESCAC).

Chwick also had an assist.

Hamilton dropped to 5-11-3, 3-8-2.

Also Friday: Richmond graduate Marc Zaharchuk had 15 points, nine rebounds and one block as the Husson men’s basketball team defeated Green Mountain College 78-66.
