OAKLAND — Lawrence pulled away in the fourth quarter en route to a 45-41 win against Messalonskee in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball action Thursday night. The Bulldogs made some key free throws, including four from Nia Irving, in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Eagles 12-3. Dominique Lewis added a 3-pointer with about two minutes left to put Lawrence up by a point. Irving finished with a game-high 17 points while Lewis and Paige Belanger each added 10. Mikayla Turner led the Eagles with 13 points, Kassi Michaud scored 12 and Kesley Mayo 11. Messalonskee finishes the regular-season at 11-7 while Lawrence is 16-2.

 

RANGELEY 67, GREENVILLE 28: Tori Letarte had 21 points, and nine steals to lead Rangeley to the East/West Conference win.

Taylor Esty scored 14 points for Rangeley (17-1), which broke the game open with a 21-2 run in the third quarter. Maddi Egan had seven steals for the winners.

Ashley Mace led Greenville (5-12) with 15 points.

MADISON 53, DIRIGO 44: Kirsten Wood scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Madison. Alex Jarvais added 12 points and six rebounds for the winners while Kayla Bess scored 11 points. Kelsey Hutchins led Dirigo (11-7) with 12 points. Madison is 12-6.

 

WINSLOW 46, ERSKINE 32: Alyssa Wood scored 18 points, all on 3-pointers, to lead the Black Raider to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win. Mallory Chamberlain scored 12 points for Erskine (4-14) while Katie Gamage added 11. Winslow finishes its regular season at 14-4.

 

WATERVILLE 50, BELFAST 34: Fotina Shanos scored 15 points and Jordan Jabar added 13 to lead the Purple Panthers to the KVAC B victory in Belfast.

Colleen O’Donnell chipped in with 10 points for Waterville (10-8).

Ashley Littlefield scored a game-high 19 points to pace Belfast (1-17).

 

OXFORD HILLS 52, MT. BLUE 27: Anna Winslow scored 13 points and Mikayla Morin added 10 to lead the Vikings to the KVAC A win in South Paris. Pianna Sugars chipped in with eight points for Oxford Hills (14-4).

Miranda Nicely scored nine points to pace the Cougars (8-10).

 

NOKOMIS 60, MCI 28: Taylor Shaw scored 15 points to help the Warriors cap an undefeated regular season with the KVAC B win in Newport.

Kelsie Richards and Anna MacKenzie each scored 14 points for Nokomis (18-0).

Ashley Alton led MCI (2-16) with 11 points.
