NO. ANDOVER, Mass. — The University of Maine men’s ice hockey team fell to Merrimack 6-0 on Saturday night at Lawler Arena in No. Andover, Mass.
The Warriors (8-9-4) led 2-0 after the first period before icing the game with three goals in the second period.
Brendan Ellis had a goal and an assist for Merrimack.
Maine, which outshot Merrimack 30-26, dropped to 5-13-3.
Martin Ouellette started in goal for Maine. He stopped 13 shots before being replaced by Matt Morris in the second period.
Quinn Gold, John Hefferman and Vinny Scotti also scored for the Warriors.
