Tuuka Rask made 30 saves in regulation and stopped three of four Senators in the shootout, including a bizarre attempt from Kaspars Daugavins. The Ottawa forward carried the puck by pressing down with the tip of his stick before attempting a failed 360 move in front of Rask.

Shawn Thornton and Daniel Paille scored for Boston, which rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win its 10th straight in Ottawa.

Guillaume Latendresse — in his first game back from injury since Jan. 30 — and Kyle Turris scored in regulation for the Senators. Robin Lehner made 33 saves through three periods and overtime.

Paille tied the game 2-2 at 8:53 of the second period, beating Lehner on the stick side after Krejci made a 50-foot pass up the middle to send Paille in all alone.

The Senators got off to a good start as they built a 2-0 lead before the midway point of the first period, with both scorers snapping goalless droughts.

After missing the last 18 games suffering from the effects of whiplash, Latendresse scored his first of the year just 55 seconds into the game after being sprung on a breakaway by defenseman Sergei Gonchar.

As happy as Latendresse was to be back in the lineup and contributing, Turris was probably happier as he finally scored after going 21 games without a goal.

Turris picked up the puck inside the Boston blue-line, curled in and fired a wrist shot over the shoulder of Rask and in for his fifth goal of the season.

The Bruins pulled to within a goal as Thornton's wobble-shot got tangled in Lehner's equipment and found a way over the goal line with less than a minute to play in the opening period.

NOTES: Jay Pandolfo, Aaron Johnson and Lane MacDermid were scratches for Boston. ... Milan Michalek and Peter Regin were scratches for Ottawa. ... Krejci played in his 400th NHL game Monday, all with the Bruins. Zdeno Chara played his 500th game in a Bruins' uniform. ... The Senators have lost 118 man games to injury while the Bruins have lost just seven.
