Morning Sentinel Staff
JACKMAN -- Anna Carrier scored 20 points and hauled in 11 rebounds as Forest Hills defeated Pine Tree 66-37 in a Class D win Thursday night.
Dana McNally had 12 assists for Forest Hills (4-0). Kori Coro added 15 points for the Tigers, while Haley Cuddy chipped in 10 points.
Rebecca Moore led Pine Tree (0-2) with 15 points.
Spruce Mountain 51, Mt. Abram 21: Kailee Newcomb scored 12 points to lead the Phoenix to the Mountain Valley Conference win.
Samantha Richards added 10 points for Spruce Mountain (3-0). Miranda Smith led Mt. Abram (1-2) with 11 points.
Madison 60, Dirigo 33: Sam Bruce scored 17 points while Erika Parker had seven points and eight rebounds to lead the host Bulldogs to the MVC win.
Bronte Elias added 12 points for Madison (3-0).
Dirigo (1-1) was led by Lauren Henderson and Sabrina Daud with eight points apiece.
Boys basketball
Forest Hills 85, Pine Tree 27: Tanner Daigle scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Tigers to the Class D win in Jackman.
Forest Hills (4-0) led 53-13 at the half. Evan Worster scored 18 points for the Tigers. Brandon Ouellette (15 points), Matt Turner (14) and Ryan Petrin (11) also reached double figures.
Zach Wilday led Pine Tree (1-3) with 14 points.
