NEW LONDON, Conn. — The Colby women’s lacrosse team pulled away to earn their sixth straight victory, beating Connecticut College 11-8 in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game Saturday.

The Mules remain unbeaten at 6-0 and are 4-0 in the conference. The Camels fall to 2-6, 0-6 in the conference.

Senior Tess Petesch scored two goals and had an assist for Colby. Kate Pistel and Sara Miller each added two goals and goalie Michelle Burt had 12 saves to earn the win.

Bri Miller had three goals for Conn. College.

Men’s lacrosse

Connecticut College 7, Colby 3: Chad Sawyer had two goals and two assists as the Camels beat the Mules in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game in Waterville.

Andrew Freedman added three goals, while Pat Leary and Thomas Woessner each had two goals and an assist for Conn. College, which improves to 5-3 overall and 5-1 in the conference.

Ian Deveau led Colby with five goals and one assists to surpass 150 career points for Colby (4-3, 1-3 in the conference). Deveau now has 84 goals and 71 assists for 155 points. This season he had 21 goals and seven assists.

Greg McKillop tied a single-game school record for assists with six for Colby. Josh Burns had six assists against Plymouth State in 1979 and Billy Bush had six against Plymouth State in 1993.

Baseball

Carroll 13, Thomas 3: The Terriers gave up seven runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth on their way to a loss in Auburndale, Fla.

Waterville Senior High School graduate Tim Locke pitched seven innings of relief for Thomas, allowing four runs on eight hits, while striking out seven and walking two.

John Charves had two singles and drove in a pair of runs for the Terriers.

Chicago 16-5, Colby 12-4: Cony High School graduate Luke Duncklee had five hits in two games, but the Mules were swept in a doubleheader in Auburndale, Fla.

Duncklee had three hits and two RBIs in the opener for Colby (7-4) and two hits and an RBI in the second game.

Jason Buco added three hits and three RBIs in the first game for Colby, while John Schroeder drove in four runs.

Fisher 4-6, UM-Farmington 0-4: Jefry Castro pitched a complete game shutout, allowing two hits, while striking out 10 and walking none as the Falcons beat the Beavers in Lynn, Mass.

Dominic Zahar had an RBI single in the first inning, while Jose Paulino, Joshua Byrd and Sammy Alejandro each drove in a run in the third inning for Fisher.

Ben Pearson pitched five innings for UMF, allowing four runs on six hits, while walking five and striking out two.

In the second game, Casey Reed pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs on five hits and striking out eight for Fisher (17-12).

Brian Jenkins had two hits and scored twice, while Brett Wallingford also scored twice for UMF (1-2).

Maine 4-7, Albany 1-4: Eric White had three hits and scored three runs as the Black Bears beat the Great Danes 7-4 in the second game to earn a doubleheader sweep in Orono.

Tommy Lawrence allowed one run on seven hits and struck out five to earn the win for Maine (15-13, 6-2 in America East play).

A.J. Bazdenes pitched 7 2/3 innings in the second game, allowing four runs on six hits, while striking out four.

Also Saturday: Hall-Dale graduate Ryan Leach struck out six and retired all nine batters he faced in the Franklin Pierce baseball team’s 4-2 win over UMass-Lowell in the first game of a doubleheader in Rindge, N.H. Franklin Pierce won the second game 6-3. … Cony High School graduate Dillon Shaw and Messalonskee graduate Chris Pelletier each had two goals and an assist in the Husson men’s lacrosse team’s 11-10 loss in double overtime to Curry in Bangor. Messalonskee graduate Chris DelGiudice added a goal and an assist for Husson. … Messalonskee graduate Dylan Foster had two hits, a RBI and scored a run in Husson’s 8-4 win over Endicott in the second game of a doubleheader in Beverly, Mass. Also in the second game, Waterville graduate’s Josh Gaudette and J.T. Whitten each had a single and an RBI, and fellow Waterville graduate Kyle Bishop scored a run. In the first game, a 2-1 Husson loss, Bishop drove in the lone run for Husson.
