BEVERLY, Mass. — Jason Padilla scored three minutes into overtime as the William Patterson men’s soccer team defeated Thomas College 3-2 at the Endicott Invitational Tournament on Friday afternoon.

Michael Hand socred the first goal of the game at the 6:11 mark to give Thomas a 1-0 lead. William Patterson responded at 19:45 and tied it on a header by Aken Pierre with just a few second left in the first half.

Thomas tied when Maranacook graduate Dakota Duplissie scored in the 63rd minute.

Cross country

The Thomas men’s cross country team finished fourth, thanks to a ninth place finish by freshman Nick Kopf at the Mayflower Invitational in Henniker, N.H.

Also for Thomas, William Janakis finished 25th in 18:06 and Evan Boudreau was 36th in 18:41.

For the Thomas women, freshman Crystal Peatfield finished 38th in a time of 23:02.
