WISCASSET -- Toby Wells of Dublin, N.H., pulled away over the final 20 laps to the win the 50-lap Northeast Mini Stock Tour feature Saturday night at Wiscasset Speedway.
Emerson Cayer of Contocook, N.H., who holds first place in points on the tour, placed second. Augusta' Shawn Kimball made a nice run from a 14th-place start to finish third, while Richmond's Nate Tribbet was 10th and Ed Archer of Skowhegan finished 14th.
Adam Chadbourne of Woolwich held off Bobby Mesimer and Josh Bailey (both of Wiscasset) in the Super Stock 25. Jamie Heath of Waterford took the checkered flag in the Thunder 4s, while Richmond's Leandra Martin took second for her third top-three finish at Wiscasset.
The Pro Stock featured two cautions on the first lap, but once the cars got going, Sidney's Chris Thorne ran away with the win. Justin Drake of Vassalboro came in second.
The best race of the night was in the Strictly Street, as Guy Childs, Sr. of Turner battled Arrowsic's Tasha Dyer back and forth for all 20 laps. Dyer tried to pass Childs on turn three of the last lap, but she ended up spinning out and going sideways across the finish line as Childs held on for the victory.
"The thing about this was that it was the most fun I ever had racing," Dyer said. "We both had good cars. We bumped on every lap and I spun out at the end, but it was fun."
Other winners on Saturday were Kevin Sherman of Wiscasset (who finished third in the Thunder 4s) in the New England 4-Cylinder Prostock and Dave Farrington, Jr. of Jay in the Late Model Sportsman.
Oxford Plains Speedway
Tommy Stilphen of Arundel won the 40-lap Pro Late Model feature on Friday night. At 14, Stilphen is the youngest Oxford Championship Series race winner in OPS history.
Chris Coolidge led for most of the race, but had handling problems down the stretch. Stilphen nosed out Shawn Martin of Turner for the win.
In the Street Stock 30-lap race, Poland's Tyson Jordan overtook Lewiston's Rick Spaulding on the final lap to claim the win. Spaulding had run a brilliant race after starting in 14th, while Skip Tripp also placed an impressive third after starting in 22nd.
Peru's Justin Larsen easily won the Mini Stock while Corey Morgan of Lewiston took top honors in the Outlaw Sportsman.
Pro All-Stars Series North
Patrick Laperle of St. Denis, Quebec, picked up his first PASS North win since 2007 when he won the Frameco 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee-Jonction, Quebec on Saturday night.
Laperle, who started this race in 16th out of 28 cars, earned his last PASS North win at Unity Raceway. In this one, he fought with Martin Latulippe for first, and after winning that battle, had to hold off a desperate charge by Berwick's Joey Doiron. Latulippe finished in third place.
Johnny Clark of Farmingdale led for much of the race, but had to go to the pits with a flat tire late in the race, and had to be content with eighth place.
