WINSLOW -- Winslow High School baseball coach Kyle Gunzinger has resigned after one year in the Black Raiders' dugout.
On Saturday night, Gunzinger was summoned on charges of possession of marijuana and sale and use of drug paraphernalia, on Cushman Road in Winslow.
In a voice mail message, Gunzinger cited personal reasons behind his decision to step down.
Winslow athletic director Carrie Larrabee confirmed that Gunzinger resigned, but could not comment further.
Gunzinger, who also has been an assistant football coach at Winslow, led the Black Raiders to an 11-5 record in 2011, just missing the Eastern Class B playoffs.
